Dr. Charles Corbitt, Jr.

Dr. Charles Corbitt, Jr is a native son, born and raised in Dothan, AL. He is the son of Ms. Frances Pittman and Mr. Charles Corbitt, Sr. He graduated from Dothan High School in 1989. Upon graduation, he attended Troy University and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and Leadership. Additionally, he completed his Educational Leadership Doctoral Degree at Argosy University. Dr. Corbitt has 26 years of experience working in the field of education and is excited about the opportunity to serve as principal of Barbour County High School.

Dr. Corbitt is a Deacon at North Highland Baptist Church in Dothan, AL. He is a member of the Kappa Beta Beta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. and a member of Magnolia Lodge #218 Free and Accepted Masons. He is also a member of Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges, and a member of the Pi Delta Kappa National Honor society.

Dr. Corbitt is married to Sherry Corbitt, Elementary Curriculum Coordinator with Dothan City Schools and they have three children, Celeste Corbitt, Charles Corbitt, III, and Sage Corbitt.
