Barbour County High School Homecoming Information:
All tailgate setup times will be from 1:00 PM until 4:30 PM.
Tailgate shutdown will begin at the start of the fourth quarter.
Please ensure you have access to the email used to purchase your tailgate spot when you arrive for setup.
There will be a $2.00 parking fee per vehicle.
Event Policies & Expectations:
Fans under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 21.
No passes out or re-entry will be allowed.
All fans are subject to metal detector screening.
Failure to comply with event policies will result in immediate dismissal without a refund.
No alcohol or smoking is permitted on school campus.
Do not enter the court or field unless directed by an authorized agent.
Foul language, disrespect, fighting, and horseplay are unacceptable at BCHS events.
Students must follow all Barbour County School System behavior policies while attending school-sponsored activities.
All bags must be clear.
No vaping
No Weapons (gun, knife, etc)

Summer School runs from June 2 – June 27, 2025, Monday through Thursday.
⏰ Hours: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM daily
Please keep the following important reminders in mind:
🚌 Drop-Off:
If your student is not riding the bus, drop-off begins at 7:30 AM.
Students are considered late after 8:00 AM and must be signed in at the front office.
👕 Dress Code:
Students are required to wear their school uniform each day during Summer School.

BCHS Students and Staff Take the Lead in Shaping the Future!
At BCHS, our students and teachers wanted their voices to be heard — and they got their chance! Assistant Principal Hill organized grade-level assemblies where students participated in a SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) to reflect on our school, leadership, and overall student experience.
The energy was electric as students eagerly engaged, asked insightful questions, and voiced concerns about how their input would be shared with the district and community. Their passion didn’t stop there — our faculty and staff followed with their own SWOT Analysis, holding candid conversations about how we can grow stronger together.
As one student said, "It feels good to be asked — like we matter in making this place better."
Next Steps: We’re taking this powerful feedback even further by inviting district leaders and board members to hear directly from our students and staff about what was shared and where we go from here.
At BCHS, we’re not just preparing for the future — we’re building it together.

Starting Monday, April 7th at 8:15 AM, our 7th and 8th grade students will begin taking the ACAP Summative Assessment. This is an important statewide test that helps measure student progress and ensures they’re on track for academic success.
✅ Here’s how you can help your child do their best:
Make sure they get a good night’s sleep each night.
Ensure they eat a healthy breakfast each morning.
Most importantly, have them at school on time each day next week.
📅 Attendance is critical during testing — please avoid scheduling appointments or early check-outs if possible.
