Barbour County, AL — Barbour County Schools has received a generous grant totaling $25,000 from the Wiregrass RC&D Council, recognizing the district’s ongoing commitment to innovation, education, and student success. The funding will support five dynamic projects, each receiving $5,000, that aim to enhance learning experiences and strengthen ties between the schools and the community.

The awarded projects are:

  • Jaguar Community Upstart

  • Building Futures Through STEM at Barbour County High School

  • Jaguars Planting Hope

  • Barbour County High School Cosmetology

  • From Ground to the Table

Each of these initiatives reflects the creativity and dedication of educators who continue to go above and beyond to bring hands-on, real-world learning opportunities into the classroom.
